The Old Man and the Lake

A feller doesn't get too many 60 degree days in late December in the Ozarks, so Dad and I snuck off to Lake Taneycomo for a couple hours yesterday afternoon. Despite one comical moment, in which I had my hands on the dock, my feet in the boat, and my body fully extended (trying not to fall in), it was a good time. Good to see Dad back on the water after his heart stint last week. Are you familiar with "The Old Man and the Sea?" That's Dad, except in his case, it's "The Old Man and the Lake!" Ha!

Not a great pic, but a bald eagle perched on a Taneycomo bluff, taking it all in.

Dad is back in the saddle. Watch out trout!
