Today was a good day at church. We worshiped.
Our praise team had ages from 16-80.
We sang both old songs and new.
Our small children sang special music.
A young couple visited for the first time. We heard from God’s Word. Men and women humbled themselves in prayer at
the altar. Our people gave sacrificially
of their heard-earned money, both to international missions and a local family
in need. We welcomed a young soldier
home. We ate lunch together in honor of
one of our members earning her master’s degree.
This evening we spent time in prayer and observed communion
together. None of these things are
particularly extraordinary in and of themselves. Just the church being the church. Ordinary, yet beautiful.
