I got a treat yesterday when I found on the Sci-Fi channel my all-time favorite movie, "The Stand" by Stephen King. "The Stand" is actually an eight hour made for television mini-series. But you will not find any better film on the big screen. "The Stand" is the ultimate apocalyptic, good v. evil movie. You can read all about the movie, and its outstanding cast, here. The film is full of Biblical imagery, and actually quotes Biblical passages throughout. There are scenes in the movie that will send chills down your back and tears to your eyes, as you wonder if the film's depictions may be reality for the Church one day. I strongly recommend it, but it's not for small children.
