Ready for Monday

The end of a long, but good, day at Selmore... Today, I got to experience the full spectrum of being a pastor... Preached this morning, did some pre-marital counseling over lunch, ran to Springfield for a hospital visit this afternoon, preached this evening, baptized two ladies, then closed the day with a brief deacon meeting. The two baptisms tonight were my 59th and 60th as pastor at Selmore. God is good. We had a sweet service tonight, and the ladies I baptized were both over 60 years old. How often do you see that?

I am looking forward to my Sabbath day tomorrow. I love my job, but I try my best not to think about it on Monday. I will be glad when it's warm enough to go fishing!

They are calling for ice tomorrow. Rachel has a doctor appointment scheduled in the morning. We'll see if we can get there. She is ready to have this boy!

My next entry I will give some thoughts on this disappointing season for the Missouri State Bears, and our beleagured coach. Until then, good night.
